SJES The Sokoto Journal of Economic Studies (SJES) is the official journal of the Department of Economics, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto. SJES is a bi-annual, online, blind peer-review journal published in June and December of every year. SJES publishes quality and original manuscripts and specifically focus on the field of Social Sciences and its related areas. The journal considers manuscripts rooted in sound theoretical, quantitative and or mixed-methods analytical techniques for publication. Articles submitted to SJES are expected to promote scholarly collaborations among academics, policy makers, practitioners, development partners and stakeholders.

Sokoto Journal of Economic Studies covers, but not limited to issues in economics, econometrics, development, banking and finance, Islamic economics, public policy, energy and resource economics, institutions, agricultural economics, environmental economics, entrepreneurship, accounting, gender issues and other related fields.
